Here at Dress4Less we sell what is known in the trade as ex chain store clothing but what exactly does ex chain store mean? And how can we sell our clothing lines so much cheaper than the high street stores?
Well, ex chain store clothing is simply the surplus stocks of the clothing manufacturers that actually make the clothing for the high street stores..When we say surplus stocks we mean the quantity produced by the manufacturers over and above the amount ordered by any particular chain store. Surplus stocks usually come from cancelled orders and over makes, if for instance Monsoon order 50,000 maxi dresses it is impossible for the supplier to make exactly this amount. So the clothing manufacturers must sell the remainder of the surplus stock at huge discounts simply to cover their costs and to recoup its investments on the clothing they have manufactured.
Since the cost of manufacturing clothing is a small fraction of the cost that high street store sell their clothing at they can afford to sell off the surplus at huge discount simply to cover their costs. This is where Dress4Less comes in, we deal with the original manufacturers and buy up their surplus stocks of cancelled orders and over makes. Because our customers are basically cutting out the middleman in the form of high street stores they can benefit from our amazingly low prices with savings up to 70% below the high stores prices.
So is there any difference in quality of our clothing?
All our lines of clothing are exactly the same as the clothes sold in high street stores in terms of quality and workmanship apart from one small difference. Because we are not a licensed seller for the high street stores such as Next, Monsoon M&S Etc. Etc. we are required by law to cut off or remove the name of the original high street store the clothes were made for. If we don't do this we run the risk of being prosecuted by the original high street store for breeching their intellectual property rights.
What we can assure here at Dress4Less is the original quality of the clothing we sell is 100% preserved particularly as the surplus stocks we sell undergo rigorous quality testing procedures before the surplus stocks are sold off by the original manufacturer’s. So you can be assured when you buy clothing at Dress4Less you are buying excellent quality clothing, you are simply just paying a lot less for it.
Check our our clearance lines for even bigger savings.
Here at Dress4Less we also have end lines and stocks we need to clear out from our warehouse, we add these lines to our clearance section of our website. Here you will find even bigger reductions compared to high street prices and we have been known to offer reductions up to 90% compared to the original store price. Our only drawback is because we sell surplus stock lines are always limited, and when a particular line is sold out we rarely get it back in stock again, so you need to be quick so make sure you don't miss out on that bargain.
